Hey there!!!  I’m Jamar Johnson Photographer and owner of J. Terrell Photography!!!  Growing up in Urbanna, VA and spending the first decade and a half of my life in the tidewater area, I found a great love for outdoors, boating, cooking, and began to take interest in photography.  Whether by camera phone or with a simple point and shoot, I always wanted to capture simple moments and memories that constantly occur in this wild ride we call life!!!

Now residing in the Northside of Richmond, VA, I have for the last ten years pursued my passion for Restaurant Management and cooking, working to provide quality cuisine and other event services to corporate america, brides, and anyone else in need. Looking to find the next venture,  about 2 years ago I set out traveling most of Virginia, The Outer Banks, and other cities further North combining two of my most favorite pastimes….. Traveling and Photography.

Whether the job is a surprise proposal that requires hiding in a tree,  capturing your newborns first moments, or catching the perfect sunset on the sound side of the Outer Banks, I am always wanting to create an atomosphere where you can be yourself, in your own environment, where we can all have fun, and create memories that aren’t forced, but naturally born one snap and one moment at a time!!!
